The HYPERSTAT chair mixes both leather craftsmanship and 3D printing techniques, The Leather is designed, stitched, and burnished by hand, and the exotic leather insert has been molded using classical artisanal techniques. Assaad Awad (Spanish/Lebanese leather designer) and Ghouyoum collaborated to create this Hyperstat special edition chair. HYPERSTAT is a script that populates three-dimensional connectors according to a given spatial wire diagram. The connectors are 3D printed in brass, they connect tubes in a structure that has only tension and compression forces within. This structure is hyperstatic. This results in a very lightweight chair, quite transparent with a captivating geometry. The brass nodes are 3D printed, hyperstat has been designed as a system and can be developed under various forms: lamps, tables, folding screens, etc...
